Complete HTPC media center and tv PVR System

We've spent a lot of time working with a very large assortment of Windows and Linux based tv recording softwares. Every bundled Windows software is, to put it mildly, terrible. So we've developed our own system using some off the shelf Linux software with our own knowledge and programming builtin. The system is fast and accurate and totally supports the two main motherboard systems detailed below. Both systems support HDMI out and include High Definition Audio as well.

System One: Basic

This is our normal recommended system with a single dual tv tuner system, which can be expanded up to two tv tuners if you feel the need to record up to 4 television stations at once. There is also a satellite tv option if you would like to be able to receive and/or record either Optus D1 or D2 or even Austar satellite transmissions. This system uses a standard DVDrom drive as the motherboard isn't specifically Blu-Ray compatible. Both systems can be completely controlled by the included remote control including using an onscreen keyboard when required.

This box was chosen because it's an extremely well built case designed to keep the minimal amount of noise that is generated inside where it belongs. It has very good cross ventilation guaranteeing your components stay cool and healthy. It also has a front mounted LCD to show what is happening and comes with the system extensions required for proper remote control. With the 3 included Thermaltake smart cooling fans you'll barely even hear this system with your ear against it so you can leave it out in the open as an integral part of your loungeroom decor.
